Building your business while studying in college has its own and here are some reasons for YOU…
Why start business while doing graduation?
Being in college you can have the fastest internet connections, free consultations from the professors who often love to get involve in student running startups, meeting rooms, and many more for which you might have to pay outside the campus. Actually, taking a close note you are already paying for those resources, whether through tuition or taxes, so why not to take a little advantage of those.
Risk and Reward
What is there for you to lose? There is nothing you owe to anyone, and the worst case will lead you back to what you are doing now!
The low risk factor doesn’t mean you should take this with casual approach. In these years of college you have the time to start a serious business per year of college and within 12 months you can figure out will it work or not. It’s not necessary that you’ll hit the jackpot in the first attempt, maybe you have the try something new. The sooner you can test your ideas, the better.
Students are a beneficial resource to try your ideas on. They are helpful in gaining the knowledge whether they like it or not what you are offering. If you can make them pay for your product then it is a good sign that your product or service is workable. The network of students has the power to manufacture virility.
Being a Student I can get access to anyone and I have been asked “Why start business while doing graduation?”. All I have to do is contact a CEO’s assistant and say “I am a student and I am starting a new venture and I’m interested in getting some useful advice”. Successful people love to help young entrepreneurs. They’ll make time for you and talk to you more openly than anyone else, reason being they don’t see you as threat or someone with hidden motives.
A single classroom can make you learn so much. The world of startup is like a bridge between what is taught and applied concepts. The real world teaches you 100x more valuable things than you learn in a classroom. It is more difficult to implement what you are taught in our class. But these things give you experience during your college years.
There is lack of experience in college but there are many successful entrepreneurs of future in college today and what could be the best time to recruit them than today. They may even don’t realize what they are capable of and next Elon Musk maybe the guy or girl sitting with you in your management class getting bored.
Even if you fail, you will have a plus on your resume. Starting a business reflects that you are creative, proactive and driven- which successful companies are looking for as an employee. Startup experience can put you on track to leadership opportunities at another company if you decide to gain some experience.
